Lucia's room
We share all the details of the project for a girl's bedroom created by Nora Zubia, from the Slow and Chic interior design studio, with our Mariquitas wallpaper. A bedroom full of light and peace, where the wallpaper is the protagonist.
"The intention was to create a children's room that would grow with Lucía, so that it wouldn't look too childish too soon. We were clear that we wanted to give prominence to just one wall, so as not to overload the whole space, and from there we started looking for wallpapers.
We found the Mariquitas wallpaper that we loved, with motifs in green and a very subtle pink that is not too girly, with drawings of ladybirds and flowers that were the main inspiration for the decoration of the rest of the room.
Taking the off-white background of the wallpaper as a starting point to define the rest of the colours, we chose a very light grey for the walls, thus creating some contrast with the white lacquered woodwork and white furniture.
From there, the final stage was to find the rest of the accessories to match the wallpaper: a lamp in very subtle pink tones, the carpet in mint green and the rest of the accessories also in light pastel tones to match the wallpaper without overloading the room".
